Full-time Enrollment Requirement
To maintain good standing in the scholarship program, you must also be enrolled full-time, which is equivalent to 12 or more credit hours of coursework. Thus, scholars enrolled in 12 or more credit hours for the semester are eligible to receive either the full or reduced HHSP scholarship, depending on their cGPA. HHSP encourages scholars to enroll each fall and spring semester in 15 credit hours, if possible, to ensure that scholars are on track to successfully complete their degree requirements and graduate within four years.
Full-time Enrollment Exemption for Graduating Seniors
Some Hudson & Holland seniors may need fewer than 12 credits during their last semester at IU to complete their degree requirements and graduate. In these cases, HHSP allows graduating seniors to be enrolled part-time (fewer than 12 credit hours) and still receive their full or reduced HHSP scholarship. This exemption applies only for the last semester when the senior will be graduating.
Graduating Hudson & Holland seniors planning to enroll part-time during their last semester at IU need to email the Hudson & Holland office at hhsp@iu.edu in order to receive their HHSP full or reduced scholarship. Please, indicate Full-time Enrollment Exemption in the subject line of your email. See below for the timeline when you should email your exemption requests.
Note: You should first consult financial aid specialists at Student Central to inquire about potential impacts your part-time status may have on your other financial aid.
